>>A Much-Needed Rant For This Community<<

It has come to my attention that traditional art is seriously underrated on DevART and stuff certainly needs to be done about it!

No so long ago, I uploaded this; [link]
Now, obviously no body had read the coments I has made on it, because it was +faved almost immediately and I had 10 page veiws almost immediately. I had uploaded my own drawings of this girl, coloured with pencil and marker, before, and I never really got so much as 3 page veiws within the first few minutes.

So why do people love digital art so much?

I have no idea, because both digital art AND traditional art are equally as creative, beautiful and require skill.

Traditional art needs to be more widely recognised thoughout DeviantART, as there are many, many skilled traditional artists with not as half as much kiriban as an equally, even less, skilled digital artists who has been a member of Devart for half the time as them!
TADA-Club is traying to start a revolution, so let's start that revolution TODAY!

~~Thank you please!
*From a girl who does digital art and traditional art but closed her traditional art account as no one ever went on it*

Yes I know computer art is the way of the future....and traditional art will be no more. I know that day will come and past and traditional ar will be forgotte, then I will be a nothing and what I love will be gone...
:iconzargon-yokoshima:
Nonsense! I appreciate what you're doing, and I think some artistic traditions should be kept alive! The future I see is one where tradition is mixed with technology, so that nobody will be a "nothing".

Hmmm... I would call myself a centrist in this so called "war". I perform my work with photoshop and a tablet, but I try to keep what I do as traditional as possible. These things allow me to make mistakes, and still come out of it with a nice looking picture, as well as help cut down on the cost of art supplies (good markers and pens can be expensive, my dear). With photoshop, one has the ability to replicate countless traditional techniques within a single program. Need I mention the cut down of the amount of paper used (oh the poor tree shall be delighted)?

It isn't just deviants who uses computers to create things these days. Many animators, both American and Japanese, make their programs with digital technology. I've heard tell that some pro comic artists do their work with them as well. Computers help people break barriers in all kinds of things. It's the way of the future, friend.

very true.....I draw traditionally because i love it...not for anyone else..but it just kinda makes me made when people like other art just because of how it is color or something like that...Shouldn't art be jugded by how well drawn and colored the picture is, and how much emotion and heart the person put into in
:iconmeekyweiss:
Even though we may hate to admit it, we do get very sensitive when it comes to getting favs.. cuz getting favs means ppl like your drawings, and it also means how well you've drawn.
But I join this club not becuz I dislike digital artists.. in fact I have started trying out Adobe photoshop myself. We do not look down on digital artists and neither do we scorn them.. we just preferred to be original. =)

T'is neither here nor there.
:iconhavocs-edge:
Its not your fault that oliverat is a moron. That belongs solely to her. I think that TADA-club is a good idea and we traditional artists need something like it.
